LISTEN & MOVE FUNDAMENTALS - KIDS SESSIONS

Overview

 Listen & Move Fundamentals is a Kids workshop based on our adult Listen & Move Sessions. We incorporate breath awareness, stretching & warmups and an open session concept, just as we do in our adult sessions. We add a workshop designed to educate the kids on the fundamentals of the House Music culture and teach them the connection between the music and the movement by showing them basics of DJing and Dance.

The Session 

We will connect through meditation and breath awareness with the whole group. We then split into 2 groups, one warming up and learning basic dance fundamentals. The other group will learn basic concepts of DJing like blending. Each group participates in both workshops as a way to teach them the connection between the music and the movement. We then allow them to express themselves in a free form platform in our open session designed to nurture creativity and develop individuality. The demos at the end allow us to share what we’ve learned with the group.
