MOVE N' GROOVE

Move N' Groove is a Community House Music & Dance event held every Sunday during the Summer in Hoboken & Jersey City, NJ 

Hosted by the Move N' Groove/ Listen & Move Collective of artists & educators, we provide everything you need to express yourself through dance. A group of amazing DJ's to provide you with the sonic element, hosts that will make sure you are comfortable and ready to dance, a dance floor and a seating area with a beautiful backdrop of one of the most amazing views of lower Manhattan, and the courage and confidence to let it all out on the dance floor in a safe inclusive space.

This is a free outdoor summer event focused on bringing families closer together by allowing them to communicate through dance, and creating an inviting environment to express yourself through movement.  During the colder months, we move our events indoors as well as hosting adult only events at local NJ nightlife venues.

The Mission

 Move N' Groove is an event developed to add value to public city spaces, venues and individuals lives by creating an environment of freedom, inclusion and  connectivity around House Music & Dance. 

 Throughout our experience House music has been a platform for us to heal and be our authentic selves.  We closely curate our experiences to represent the foundations of what House music represents which is a platform for others  to be their true selves through creative expression, community accountability and the belief that everyone deserves a safe space to express themselves . We believe that our vulnerability and authenticity have created a conduit towards others healing and a value that cannot be replicated, and it is our responsibility to share this value with others.

Where It Started

The event came together during the first summer of the pandemic. BBoy Irv ( David Isidor) developed the event using decades of experience in the event and nightlife industries to create a safe outdoor gathering space for people to continue to heal in community throughout the lock-down. 

What We Do  - Move N' Groove 

 We are a full production team that handles all event logistics as well as the entertainment aspect of these events. For the Summer outdoor city events we setup a DJ booth, dance-floor and seating area and create an inviting environment for families and friends by sharing years of cultivated energy and passion for community work. We offer many hospitality and entertainment services within these experiences.  We have over 25 years of experience in the hospitality & nightlife industries and have incorporated these skill set's into our community work as a way to bridge to gap between communal dance and wellness.

Move N' Groove Fall & Winter Events

 During the colder months we host indoor community and night life events at night clubs and private venues and have brought some heavy musical talent to our platforms including Osunlade, Tony Touch. Rob Hollywood, Esteban Fernandez, Deep Just Aqua Beat and Sol Blessed, as well as our Listen & Move residents Mykael and Daniel.
