CURRENT PROJECTS:
WORDS - Shout out to Grassroots Community Arts Program and Sirelo Entertainment for having our founder Daniel Scala jump on board for his first mural. Rising Tide Capital, a local JC Non-Profit was celebrating their 20 year anniversary and they commissioned Grassroots to do 8 large murals interpreting what the concept of interconnectivity was to us. Grassroots connected local and global artists for this project, truly encapsulating how we are all interconnected. Daniel chose to throw his signature hand style up with a poem that tells what interconnectivity is in his world. Check out the poem and more photos of his piece here.
DANCE - This weeks Listen & Move Guest DJ is DJ Dah Dah from NYC! She has blessed us with many amazing sets at L&M and MnG and we are excited to help her celebrate her birthday!
About Listen & Move - We have been talking about how to continue educating the masses about the foundations of the house music culture, and we always land on the fact that staying consistent with what we do is the best way.
Pull up and experience the essence of the culture, what we feel is missing from most events happening these days. (We will back this statement up with receipts on the dance floor and in the booth if you'd like to question us :)
WORDS - Creating each other. We all create the versions of others that make us most comfortable... or not. We have access to figure out how to truly connect...but we are more separate than ever. Do we ever truly accept each others flaws or do we let fear run our vision boards? If we see ourselves in each other, windows become mirrors and we allow the divine within the person across from us to shine.
DANCE - This past November we celebrated five years of Listen & Move House Dance Sessions EVERY DAMN WEEK BECAUSE WE LOVE THE CULTURE! Such a blessing to share space with other artists & humans expressing themselves through music. The culture is based around the communal dance being what brings us together and we're doing our best to share this importance with the world.
WORDS - When we let go of predispositions and ideals we can create a reality where we see even the most devastating circumstances as a part of the unfolding of your true purpose. The universe is working for you, you just need to open your eyes.

DANCE - Big thank you to Carlos for capturing the beginning of the Move N' Groove events and putting together this video. It started like this... One speaker, a dance floor and a love of movement and music. From there we wanted to grow it into something we can share with the world and we have taken steps to give this event the respect it deserves. Every year we grow the roster, the sound quality and the energy and for the past two years have garnered the support of our city through collaborations and grant funding. This 2025 season we will see the most growth we have seen and you will feel the love we put into this event even more. Come dance with us this summer.

MUSIC - Listen to live House and Techno sets from our weekly community House Dance programs, Listen & Move and Move N' Groove.
The sonic experience itself is great, but if you want to experience what the house music culture is truly based on, pull up to one of our L&M sessions in Jersey City. Right now since it's cold outside, we hold one weekly at Grassroots Community Space, 54 Coles St. every Wednesday , and starting in May our Move N' Groove program at J. Owen Grundy Park will return to JC for the summer!
DANCE -Our Move N' Groove program at J. Owen Grundy Park will return in the end of May 2025, and we are very excited for what is in store for this year! We will be bringing out the usual amazing roster of local Dj's and artists, as well as some very special guests from around the world.
